Fantastic opportunity to join Willmott Dixon – delivering Stockport’s new Interchange

Willmott Dixon, the construction company behind the new Stockport Interchange, are looking for a Business Administration Apprentice to join their Construction North team based at the prestigious flagship project in Stockport.

This is an exciting opportunity to join this well-established privately-owned construction company, responsible for delivering one of Stockport’s key regeneration schemes in the town centre.

As a Business Administration Apprentice, you will join their friendly team working in a site office where you will have the opportunity to build your experience and confidence in the workplace whilst gaining a formal business administration qualification.

The successful candidate can look forward to varied duties including:

  • Answering the telephone with a professional and confident manner
  • Providing administrative support to the team
  • Document control and assisting with construction drawings (full training will be given)
  • Supporting the senior site administrator with monthly data recording
  • Ensuring all information on notice boards is up to date with assistance from the site team
  • Assisting with site newsletters
  • Supporting site preparations for visitors
  • Preparing refreshments for onsite meetings
  • Assisting with daily site inductions
  • Dealing with any email enquiries such as information on post, booking meetings etc.

 

Essential and Desirable Criteria

This position would suit someone looking to return to work after a career break or someone looking to gain employment in their first job which will offer valuable work experience in a busy office environment leading to a vocational qualification. Good literacy and numeracy skills, along with being computer literate in Microsoft word and excel are preferable.

Willmott Dixon are looking for candidates who are driven and can demonstrate enthusiasm, exceptional commitment and willingness to learn. Communication skills will be important as well as the ability to work within a fast-paced exciting environment.
