Are you supporting Plastic Free July?

Are you supporting Plastic Free July?

In November, world leaders will gather in Glasgow for the crucial COP26 UN climate summit to map out how to keep the planet on track.

Join in with millions of people across the world who are reducing their plastic waste and supporting Plastic Free July.

Plastic Free July is a global movement that helps millions of people be part of the solution to plastic pollution so we can have cleaner streets, oceans and beautiful communities.

Will you be part of Plastic Free July by choosing to refuse single-use plastic?
Yes, I will take the challenge HERE

You can help to create a cleaner world by:

  • refusing to use single-use plastic / products
  • buying unpackaged goods / food stuff
  • reusing your own bags / containers
  • shopping locally / farmer’s markets

Stockport businesses who are supporting the campaign include:

  • Merseyway Workshop / Plastic Shed – not-for-profit organisation in Merseyway
  • The Good Life in Heaton Mersey – refillables
  • Gingko – a new shop opening on Underbank this month
  • Ems Easy Co in Bramhall
  • Plantshop in Stockport

The UK’s target is to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 and steps must be made now to achieve this. In the North West, the region’s target is 2040 at the latest, and 2038 in Greater Manchester.
