‘Living Well’ Programme to address growing mental health needs

‘Living Well’ Programme to address growing mental health needs

Stockport is set to roll out the ‘Living Well’ programme as part of Greater Manchester’s Community Mental Health Transformation to address the rising number of serious mental health diagnoses.

The initiative aims to provide better support for adults with complex mental health conditions through a joined-up, holistic approach. The programme will create a central ‘Living Well Hub’, bringing together NHS and community services, along with mental health professionals, to offer tailored support to those in need.

The goal is to empower people to maintain good mental health and to stay well and connected within their community. The programme is encouraging Stockport residents with complex mental health needs to get involved and share their experiences by completing the Living Well Survey.

Maya, the Living Well Mental Health Engagement Officer for Stockport said:

“We want input from individuals living with serious mental illnesses to help shape the programme. “We want to hear from people about their mental health experiences, what support helped, what didn’t, and what could be improved to best help them.”
