Romiley Golf Club’s Neonatal Gift for Stepping Hill Hospital

Romiley Golf Club’s Neonatal Gift for Stepping Hill Hospital

Stepping Hill Hospital’s neonatal unit received a generous donation thanks to the efforts of the members of Romiley Golf Club.

Outgoing captains Lynn Schofield and Neil Cousins presented gifts and a  donation of £3164.00 which had been raised from a number of fundraising events over the year.

Lynn, Neil and other club members have been fundraising to give thanks for wonderful care given to Lynn’s grandchildren Harriet, Felicity and Theodore Schofield when they were newly born. The grandchildren met staff members during the handover too.

Theodore and Harriet now love to play football together and Felicity is a big Barbie fan. During the handover of the cheque with their grandparents they all got to meet the midwives and see the nursery where they were cared for as new babies in 2015 and 2017. They also showed photos of themselves as babies back then too.

The donation was arranged through Stockport NHS Charity, which helps to improve
the health and wellbeing of patients by in Stepping Hill Hospital and community NHS services
by delivering services above and beyond ordinary standards.
