Free sports-themed crafting sessions will also be taking place at each event at too, with activities taking place from 11am to 3pm at both locations.

Children will also be encouraged to pick up their very own free ‘Sporty Stockport Passport’, available at locations across Merseyway, where they can keep a diary of all the sports-related activities they’ve taken part in this summer to see just how active they’ve been.

Krazy Races Returns – July 28

On Sunday 28 July, Totally Stockport will be bringing its successful brand of Krazy Races Events back to the town centre. The event kicks off in St Peter’s Square at 10.45am with racing taking place throughout the day. The free to attend event promises to bring all manner of wild and zany races to the town while raising thousands for local charities, including The Christie and St Ann’s Hospice.

Jetting out of the starting blocks in St Peter’s Square, the teams will tear down towards Mersey square past the iconic Plaza building, where racers will have to navigate a sharp right toward Stockport’s famous Air Raid Shelters. The event route will be made up of chicanes, obstacles and more with racers expected to be cheered on by more than 15,000 locals.

“We’ve seen time and time again how much Stockport values events, whether that be food and drink at the Underbanks, Merseyway’s jam packed summer activities or the fantastic Krazy Races making a racing return to our town centre, we can’t wait to see our residents enjoy these free or low-cost events in Stockport without having to break the bank this Summer.”
