TOWN OF CULTURE WEEKENDER

The year finished with the Town of Culture Weekender which was the busiest weekend in Stockport of 2024 so far, despite changeable weather! Offering unprecedented opportunities for performance and participation.

More than 50 events over more than 25 different venues

Over 600 performers

Over 50 dance, drama and music performances

Over 1000 people taking part in craft sessions or workshops

Busiest weekend ever at Stockport Museums with over 5000 people through the doors most of them first time visitors

Central Library recorded 1,200 visits for their Bluey Day

Merseyway received a record number of visitors over the weekend

Market Hall- highest number of visitors on a Saturday of the year
