Multiple NODA nominations for NK Theatre Arts
Stockport’s NK Theatre Arts have been nominated for 46 awards by The National Operatic and Dramatic Association as part of it’s annual award ceremony to take place in January.
The organisation is part of the North West’s District 1 and the awards recognises theatre excellence across the board in various elements of performance.
The company received nominations for Footloose Jr, Six The Musical Teen Edition, Blackberry Trout Face, School of Rock, Bouncers and Shakers and My Fair Lady.
Dominic Stannage, NK Theatre Arts’ Production Co-ordinator was delighted with the news:
“To be recognised for so many different productions is absolutely fantastic as there is such a diverse mix of shows and events we have been nominated for. Of course a nomination for any individual is only possible if everyone plays their part, so a massive well done to anyone who was involved in NK shows last year”. We certainly look forward to representing Stockport at the awards ceremony in Manchester next year.”
It has been an extremely challenging time for NK, with their home The Forum Theatre currently closed as ways to overcome the RAAC concrete in the building are assessed.
