Community Cycle Parking Grants available for Stockport

Community Cycle Parking Grants available for Stockport

A new funding pot worth £830,000 has been launched across Stockport and the wider Greater Manchester region to support the provision of cycle parking across the region.

Funded through the Department for Transport and Active Travel England Capability and Ambition Fund, grants are available for up to a maximum of £15, 000 per application. You can apply for the grant if you’re based in Greater Manchester and are one of the below:

  • A small business
  • A community interest group and/or organisation
  • A primary, secondary and/or further education provider
  • An NHS healthcare provider.

This grant can be used by organisations to install cycle parking that will be available for use by anyone travelling to that location by bicycle, including but not limited to staff, pupils, residents, patients and visitors.

The scheme supports the principals and aims of Greater Manchester’s refreshed active travel mission.

The previous cycle parking grant programme proved extremely popular, with over 1600 new and improved cycle parking spaces funded at key community locations.

Applications close Friday 10 November 2023.
