Another Stockport Social Enterprise has a reason to Feel Good

Feel Good Communities CIC, a Stockport Social Enterprise, has been awarded £500 of funding support through the Proper Good Community FUNdraising series of events.

Feel Good Communities CIC was set up to spread wellbeing and laughter within the wider community. Director, Claire nurtured a passion for supporting those at their lowest ebb, into an idea, which she has in turn built into a blossoming Social Enterprise.

The funding will be used to pay for room rental so that Claire can deliver her increasingly popular Laughter Workshops – designed to bring joy into those lives that really could do with it; as well as a course on how to teach mindfulness so that Claire can share this tool with participants.

Claire says

“I believe success is not a destination but a journey of continuous learning, growth, and adaptation. I’m grateful for every opportunity that has challenged me, helped me develop new skills, and connected me with inspiring individuals. I’d like to thank Sector3, Proper Good, The Goodness Collective, Our Happiness Factor, Flourish Together CIC, Make Build Grow CIC, The Village Web Company and of course Feelgood Communities all for helping me build confidence, grow, learn, connect and generally do better.

No way could I have pitched, not even a year ago! Thank you for believing in me guys, even when I didn’t believe in myself! I’m so grateful yay can’t wait for the next chapter”

This is the third in a series of grassroots fundraising events, aiming to give communities the power to allocate seed-funding that will provide a crucial step for local Social Entrepreneurs to develop their enterprise.

Part of the Proper Good Stockport programme, the event gives local residents, businesses and fellow social entrepreneurs the chance to find out about the homegrown ideas happening on their doorstep; whilst also supporting entrepreneurs to get vital pitching experience, contacts and more in a supportive environment.

Also pitching were Drawing Board Productions CIC and Stockport Race Equality Partnership.

This event was sponsored by Stockport based B Corp, One + All.
