Build A Business is an innovative new project aimed at small businesses, entrepreneurs and anyone thinking of starting their own business.It’s running in libraries across 8 Greater Manchester authorities, including Stockport Central Library, offering tailored help to support new businesses.

The core programme of workshops to help you plan, develop and grow your business idea and local SME Champions can provide one to one support and create a business information plan specific to you.Plus meet other local businesses at regular networking events.

Build a Business in GM Libraries is part funded by the European Union, with a grant of £1.3 million from ERDF funding, and managed by Manchester City Council. The project will run from January 2021-June 2023.

Who can benefit? – from Artisan Baker to Zumba Instructor, Build A Business can help!

Workshops and events, one to one help, market research for your sector, dedicated library space to nurture your idea and of course help to protect you business idea / intellectual property (IP).
