Christmas treats in store at Arc Stockport

Christmas treats in store at Arc Stockport

The team at Arc Stockport has been running events at Arc Centre at Hat Works for the last few months, and they have a festive treat in store!

After the success of their lovely Christmas 2019 event they have a more creative activities-focused yuletide Art Club fundraiser planned, plus handmade Christmas shopping, a festive glass fusing workshop, tasty treats and a raffle! They are also pleased to welcome back a magical miniature installation by The Doll’s House Art Gallery at the centre, to really fire up those festive feels. There will also be various activities planned for in the centre in December, so keep an eye out on their socials for updates.

“It feels so lovely to have people back in the centre, and we hope our supporters will join us for a fabulous, festive and fun day and be creative with us, to help us raise funds for our work!”

On the day you’ll be able to get making with this fabulously fun crafty selection!

  • Christmas Paper Pop-Ups
  • Festive colouring sheets
  • Hand-Print Reindeers
  • Paper Tealight Holders
  • Textile Pocket Hugs and Eye Masks – something more relaxed and needing a little bit more commitment for the (approx) over 12s!

Drop ins are welcome and you can donate for activities via cash, or make a pre-event donation here. https://www.eventbrite.com/e/205643544377

All in-person events this winter will be subject to close monitoring of government Coronavirus guidelines, and should any events have to be cancelled due to safety concerns, Arc will let people know via social media and their website at www.arc-centre.org/blog-christmas-at-arc-2021 so please check back before visiting the centre on the day of the event, just in case.

Christmas Charity Shopping

This year we are pleased to offer both shopping for Arcware on our Online Shop (which includes delivery or Click & Collect) AND a retail selection in The Gallery Cafe, so you can experience the perfect duo – brews & peruse! Our shops will feature handmade homewares, greetings cards, stationery, ceramic jewellery, decorations and tealight holders, paint a shape kits and more!

Every purchase is a contribution to help us continue our work unlocking creativity and transforming the lives of vulnerable adults and young people across Greater Manchester.

Our Artist’s Table is a selection of handmade artwork and pieces by Arc’s associate artists. Buying from these fabulous local makers ensures a quality and unique gift for yourself or a loved one, plus a portion of the sales support our work with people experiencing mental health issues. Makers confirmed so far are: Caroline Coates, Nerissa Cargill-Thompson, Becca Smith, Jason Taylor/Jason Makes, Christmas in Tiny Town, Sarah Pink and Alison Waters.
