Apply now to the Stockport Local Fund – closing to applications on 21st November

Apply now! The first round of applications to bid for funding from the One Stockport Local Fund is closing on Sunday 21st November.

The Stockport Local Fund changed its name to the One Stockport Local Fund and has funded over 700 community initiatives. Don’t miss out on the chance to win funding for your organisation from this allocation.

The One Stockport Local Fund opened for an initial three-week period, closing this Sunday on 21st November.

Born out of the COVID pandemic, One Stockport celebrates and promotes the fantastic response seen from all walks of life across the borough: communities have worked together and looked out for each other; throughout lockdown, people stayed close to home and supported their local businesses and paid attention to their health & wellbeing by walking and cycling more in their neighbourhoods.

As the One Stockport campaign has reconnected people to their town and brought new focus to communities across Stockport, the people of Stockport have become more united, becoming One Stockport. The One Stockport Local Fund will build upon the successes of the Stockport Local Fund and the legacy of the pandemic by encouraging greater cross-sector collaboration and support initiatives that deliver positive outcome for the residents, organisations, and communities in Stockport.

Councillor Amanda Peers, Cabinet Member for Inclusive Neighbourhoods, said:

“Stockport Council, working in collaboration with Sector3 and One Stockport local businesses and services, are providing grants for local groups and organisations who are tackling health, social and economic inequalities across Stockport.

“You can apply for up to £30,000, so don’t miss this opportunity to apply for the One Stockport Local Fund by Sunday 21st November. We know that applying for funding can be difficult, so if you have any questions, please get in touch and we can suggest ways you can get help and support with applying.”

The One Stockport Local Fund has widened its appeal to become more inclusive.

Applications are invited via Sector3 for projects of up to £1,000 ensuring grassroots organisations have access to support. Projects requiring larger amounts of grant funding will be open to applicants via Stockport Council’s website. A new maximum of £30,000 has been made available for organisations who want to work in partnership with local services and who have a proven track record of working with communities.

To be eligible for funding, ideas must meet at least one of the following priorities: to enhance social and well-being support for children and/or adults in need; to support communities to come together, collaborate and build a more cohesive borough and to tackle the bigger issues facing our borough.
