1st – 7th February: Children’s Mental Health Week

HRH The Duchess of Cambridge's launched Children's Mental Health week with a video message marking the start of the week.

Children’s Mental Health Week is taking place on 1-7 February 2021. This year’s theme is Express Yourself.

Schools, youth groups, businesses, individuals are invited to get involved with this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week. By combining efforts, we can raise important awareness and vital funds to help more children and young people get the emotional support they need.

Expressing yourself is about finding ways to share feelings, thoughts, or ideas, through creativity. This could be through art, music, writing and poetry, dance and drama, photography and film, and doing activities that make you feel good.

Our free resources will help children and young people to explore what it means to Express Yourself. All of the ideas can be adapted for use in school, for home-schooling, online lessons or independent learning.

There are so many ways you can take part in the week. You could:

• Download our Fundraising Kit and organise a Dress to Express fundraising event
• Spread the word on social media
• Make a donation and help us to reach more children with vital support
• Download the Young Voices charity single featuring Billy Ocean and the Young Voices choir

Watch our Royal Patron HRH The Duchess of Cambridge’s video message to mark the start of the week.

Our Virtual Assembly with BAFTA and Oak National Academy is now available to view and share – featuring Jodie Whittaker, Oti Mabuse, Matthew Lewis and many more…

All of our free resources can be adapted for use in school, for home-schooling, online lessons or independent learning.

And don’t forget to add yourself to the Children’s Mental Health Week map to let us know how you are celebrating the week!
