Stockport Local Fund open for applications

The Stockport Local Fund is looking to provide grants of £200 to £10,000 to support great ideas that will make a difference in our communities.

The Stockport Local Fund is open for applications for its latest round of funding and is looking to provide grants of £200 to £10,000 to support great ideas that will make a difference in our communities.

The Stockport Local Fund is a £1m fund to support great ideas that make a difference in our communities. It’s investing in local activities and projects that help people to join together and make our neighbourhoods even better places to live in and to grow up and older in. Applications are open until November 30th.

If you’re passionate about your neighbourhood you’ll know what you most love about your local community and you’ll have great ideas on how to make it even better. We want you to suggest new ideas that we could invest in and you could grow.

If you and some friends or neighbours have an idea, then we want to hear from you. We can help you bring your great ideas to life. Maybe you’ve never done anything like this before, but we can help connect you with other people in your community who can support you and work with you to develop your idea.

Anyone can apply for the fund. You can be an individual or a group/organisation. A group or organisation may include:

  • a charity
  • a community group
  • a not-for-profit organisation

If you’re not one of the above or you’re unsure you can contact us for more information.

If you’re a community group or service you can also promote your presence and activities on Stockport Local where you can find local support, activities and volunteering opportunities in Stockport.

With coronavirus having such a drastic impact on communities throughout Stockport, this new round of funding aims not only to provide a coronavirus response but also to look at the increased demands and complex needs of communities across the borough.

The key things we’re looking for in an application is collaboration and connectivity with communities, enabling services to better understand what the community can offer and how they can work together as One Stockport.
