URGENT! Handy Ladies in need of a new home!

Their last day at St Cuthberts is this coming Thursday, 17th June, so if they have not found a suitable venue by then, they will no longer be able to provide their free meals

Stockport’s Handy Ladies voluntary group is urgently looking for a new home.

They are very sad to report that their current home, St Cuthberts in Cheadle, is re-opening which means that Handy Ladies feeding the community  can no longer use their facilities.  They are in desperate need of another local facility that has a kitchen large enough to cope with the number of meals the ladies prepare.

They will require storage areas too. Like many facilities, St Cuthbert’s  are opening up and they need their space back.

Unfortunately their last day at St Cuthberts is this coming Thursday, 17th June, so if they have not found a suitable venue by then, they will no longer be able to provide their free meals. This is such bad news for a lot of people and the Handy Ladies are devastated but there is nothing they can currently do.

They are still looking so if anyone has any contacts or knows of anywhere that would be suitable for the Handy Ladies to use, please let them know. Anyone that has worked with the Handy Ladies knows how much of a vital service this is – if you can help out in anyway please contact Jo at handyladies2@gmail.com. There is limited amount of funding and at the moment, no kitchen after the 17th June – any help would be appreciated!
