Stockport’s Spectacular Sunday Returns

Mark your calendars – Stockport’s Spectacular Sunday is back for its third year, promising an unforgettable day filled with festive fun, live entertainment and Christmas cheer!

Taking place on Sunday 16th November 2025, this much-loved event will see more than 200 performers and 50 free shows transform Stockport town centre into a wonderland of music, street theatre and magic. Visitors can look forward to a dazzling mix of acts – from a giant carnival bee and stilt-walking Christmas Belles to comedy chefs, bouncing snowmen, cocky robins and roaming bands.The festivities will spread across Merseyway Shopping Centre, Suffragette Square, The Underbanks, Market Place, Redrock and Warren Street, creating a full day of free family fun and festive surprises from 12pm – 5pm.

Organised by Stockport Council, Totally Stockport, Merseyway Shopping Centre and Stockport Market, with production by Global Grooves, this year’s event once again marks the official start of the town’s festive celebrations.Mark Ross, Totally Stockport CEO said:“Stockport likes to do Christmas in its own way and our Spectacular Sunday event is about filling the town with energy, music and performance and giving visitors something unexpected at every turn. It’s a celebration of creativity, community and the independent spirit that makes Stockport what it is. This event shows how we kick off the festive season in a way that’s truly unique to our town – and we can’t wait to see everyone back this November.”
