Plastic Shed unveils stunning new mural at Stockport Bus Station
Stockport Bus Station is looking brighter than ever thanks to Plastic Shed, who have unveiled the UK’s second-largest recycled plastic mural.
The mural, which depicts a range of local wildlife and is made from thousands of donated bottle lids, was made possible through funding from the Bee Network and Transport for Greater Manchester.
Run by founder Caitlin, Plastic Shed is the UK’s only recycled plastic mural creator, turning plastic waste into something truly eye-catching. The team’s mission is simple but powerful, to spark conversations about plastic pollution and show how everyday waste can be transformed into works of art.
Caitlin said:
“It’s so exciting to finally unveil this installation at interchange. These murals are more than just art, they’re a reminder of the impact of single-use plastics and a celebration of what we can achieve when communities come together.”
Plastic Shed’s work has already made its mark across the country – from London’s biggest recycled plastic mural to the UK’s largest, which proudly sits right here in Stockport.
With new investment and exciting growth ahead, the future looks bright for Plastic Shed.
