Stockport Welcomes Its First Eco-Friendly Florist
A new independent florist is set to bring fresh colour to our town centre this autumn.
Sweet Bud, a female-owned business founded by professional florist Olivia Woodward, is opening its first shop in the heart of the Stockport. The move marks the first dedicated florist to open in Stockport town centre in years, adding to the area’s growing reputation as a hub for independent businesses.
Olivia launched Sweet Bud in Levenshulme in 2023. Her floral arrangements aim to improve moods and brighten your days through thoughtful, artistic bouquets.
From same-day and next-day bouquet deliveries across Stockport and Manchester, to houseplants, dried flowers and stylish vases, Sweet Bud is set to become a go-to spot for both gifts and home décor.
But it’s not just about beautiful bouquets, sustainability is at the heart of Sweet Bud. Olivia avoids wasteful packaging like cellophane and refuses to use floral foam, due to its harmful impact on the environment, instead opting for waste free mechanics such as chicken wire.
Olivia said:
“Flowers have always lifted my mood, and I want to share that joy with others – in a way that’s kind to the planet too,”
