New Loft Social brings games, cocktails and vibes
Stockport’s nightlife has levelled up with the arrival of Loft Social, a brand-new games bar now open in the town centre.
We were invited in for a sneak preview ahead of opening night, and the transformed attic space above Sports Direct is something special. Once an empty storage unit, it’s now a light-filled, plant-decked venue overlooking the historic Market Place – complete with curling lanes, shuffleboard tables, pétanque, archery and plenty more.
As well as games, the bar offers a strong line-up of cocktails, wines and beers. There’s a relaxed daytime vibe for casual drinks, while evenings bring DJs and a party atmosphere. It’s the kind of venue Stockport hasn’t seen before – blending activity, socialising and style all under one roof.
With its mix of old-school games and modern nightlife, Loft Social is already proving a hit with visitors, adding even more buzz to Stockport’s ever-growing high street.
