Krazy Races to return to Stockport in 2026 

Totally Stockport Krazy Races is back for 2026 with their famous soapbox derby.

What’s better than gathering in the town centre to watch a bunch of adrenaline-chasing Stopfordians barrelling around in homemade vehicles? BEING a Stopfordian barrelling around in a homemade vehicle!

You’re in luck – in August 2026 summertime Totally Stockport BID is partnering back up with Krazy Races to bring some silly fun to your weekend.

Daring competitors will launch themselves in their hand-crafted karts down a 350m weaving obstacle course with hitches such as chicanes and water pools around every corner.

But have no fear – if your wagon isn’t looking like a Redbull Racing prototype there are other awards (that are just as prestigious) like the Best Design, Best Dressed or Best Showmanship!

“We are so excited to be bringing Krazy Races back to Stockport in 2026 after a two-year break. The last event was incredible, with thousands turning out to watch the action and nearly £20,000 raised for local charities.
