In this talk by MAFA artist Kate Collins, you will learn about the ancient method of Tempera painting, as used by Helen Clapcott in her current exhibition ‘A Portrait of Stockport’ at Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery.
Tempera pre dates oil paint and uses egg yolk to bind paint pigments together to create a medium that can be constantly altered.
