Stockport Green leaders

A youth-led social action project called Stockport Green leaders for young people aged 11-17. Over the past 3 months, we have been planning improvements for a green space in Edgeley, Stockport, as well as a range of community events to connect local people to the space.

We will be completing the practical work in the next few weeks, which will involve removing old plants from the large raised bed and planting in new ones that will increase biodiversity in the area.

On Saturday 23rd March we will be having a celebration event in the space to showcase the work the young people have done. At the event we will be hosting a nature craft activity and giving the community the chance to pot their very own plant to take home. There will be free hot drinks, cold drinks and snacks available. There will be seating available.
