Litfest with Stockport Libraries

Following on from the successful Town of Culture Weekender there are still some events happening throughout the borough up until the end of Stockport’s tenure as Greater Manchester’s Town of Culture.
Litfest Stockport is happening this weekend and for the first time, the borough will bring authors and creatives together for a full day of interactive cultural talks and workshops.
Litfest is taking place from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm at Stockport Central Library on Saturday 30th March 2024. It is free to all and promises to be a great day with amazing authors and wonderful workshops.
Those attending will hear from celebrated authors and an array of talented artists talking about creativity and writing and sharing insights into their processes and how they approach their work.
There’s a great line up of featured authors including Chris Simms, Catherine Wimpeney, Caroline England, Simon Michael, David Nolan, Anne Worthington, Trevor Mark, Thomas, Paul Johnson & Jane Claire Bradley
Attendees can also take part in interactive workshops ranging from, Publishing to Poetry to Journaling. There are workshops on “How Poetry Can Help the Fiction Writer” from Write out Loud, “Understanding the publishing process”, create “Community Poetry”. Find time for yourself through “Journaling” and then “Illustrate your life”.
The event will also host Author Stalls where signed copies of their work will be available, and Creation Stations will be set up for those who are looking to challenge their imaginative side. You can write, draw, chat and create together.
