Urban Sketching with Simone Ridyard

Join Stockport-born artist & architect Simone Ridyard for a creative workshop focusing on the basic principles of Urban Sketching and perspective drawing through demonstration, top tips, and fun exercises.

This two-and-a-half-hour workshop is largely aimed at beginners but is structured in such a way that it will be a refreshing work-out for more experienced sketchers and artists. The workshop is based at Stockport’s unique Hat Museum. If the weather is fine there’s scope to go out into the town and do some “urban sketching” in real time, in amongst Stockport’s historic townscape, from The Plaza cinema to Market Place.

This workshop session is perfect for anyone interested in seeing the town afresh, through the captivating medium of urban sketching.
