Vitality brings over 1,000 jobs to Stockport Exchange
Stockport town centre is set for a major boost as health and life insurance company Vitality prepares to move into Stockport Exchange, bringing more than 1,000 jobs to the site.
The company, which already has offices in London and Bournemouth, will relocate from Wellington Road to 3 Stockport Exchange – one of the modern office buildings next to Stockport railway station. This move means the thriving business district will soon be home to over 2,000 people working across a range of industries.
Vitality will join well-known names already based at Stockport Exchange, including Stagecoach and MusicMagpie. The development has become one of Greater Manchester’s most connected business locations, thanks to its proximity to the station and easy links to Manchester Airport and London.
Stockport Exchange is part of the town’s wider regeneration programme, which is transforming the town centre with new workspaces, revived public areas, leisure facilities and improved connectivity. The development includes modern offices, a green public square, and amenities such as a hotel, bars, and a Life Leisure gym, creating a vibrant place for businesses and the community.
This latest move shows how Stockport is attracting big employers and creating opportunities for local people.
Luke McClaran, Group Chief People Officer at Vitality, said:
We are delighted to announce our move to Stockport Exchange, a space that will provide modern, purpose-built business facilities where our great people can thrive. Stockport Exchange provides the perfect space for us to create a vibrant, inclusive workplace that helps promote collaboration, connection and innovation. Vitality already has a strong presence in Stockport, and this move reflects how proud we are to be a business within the local community and our continued commitment to the Northwest.
