Stockport’s new cultural hub ‘Stockroom’ opens this Saturday!
Stockport’s most exciting new creative space, Stockroom, officially opens its doors this Saturday! Housed in transformed Merseyway retail units, Stockroom is a bold new hub for culture, creativity and community, developed with and for local people.
The state-of-the-art venue includes a library, a vibrant children’s learning space, Stockport’s archives, and Stockroom Studios – a new stage for everything from live music to workshops. There’s even a café bar perfect for a quick brew and a catch-up.
Saturday’s launch day is packed with family-friendly fun: plant a garden with the National Trust, join a quick-draw sketch challenge, make a disco hat, dive into digital art, or dance it out at Born to Be Wild Child. In the evening, local legend Mr Scruff will bring the beats for a high-energy launch set from 6–8pm.
New images released today reveal a colourful, welcoming space ready to inspire.
Don’t miss it! Stockroom is here, and it’s made for you.
