Stockport schools recognised at prestigious Educate Awards

21 schools, colleges and multi academy trusts from across the region, including two from Stockport, have been honoured at the Educate Awards 2024

Now in its thirteenth year, the Educate Awards features 21 diverse categories and shines a spotlight on all aspects of education recognising inspiring teachers, dedicated support staff and strategic leadership teams who continue to make a meaningful difference in their communities.

Inscape House School, Stockport was runner-up SEND Provision Award, Specialist School and Gemma Jackson from Stockport Academy was runner-up Teacher of the Year!

Following the news that two Stockport Schools have been recognised at the Educate Awards, Cllr Wendy Meikle, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Education, has congratulated the award winners:

“Congratulations to the Stockport schools recognised at the prestigious Educate Awards! Inscape House School was honoured as runner-up in the SEND Provision Award – Specialist School category, and Gemma Jackson from Stockport Academy was celebrated as runner-up in the Teacher of the Year category.

“This achievement showcases the outstanding dedication and impact of education in our community. We are so proud of the positive impact you are making on the lives of young people. Well done to all involved!”

The Educate Awards took place at the Liverpool Cathedral, bringing together schools, colleges and multi academy trusts from Merseyside, Cheshire, Lancashire, and Greater Manchester for a night of celebration and recognition.
