On my Merry Way… to join in the free festive fun at Merseyway!
Free festivities are ready to light up Stockport as Merseyway announces an enchanting line-up of Christmas experiences.
Families are invited to be On My Merry Way to Merseyway this holiday season for a series of festive experiences.
From the heartwarming Giving Tree to the exciting return of the Festive Huts, Merseyway has it all, including the debut of its brand-new attraction, the enchanting Christmas Express Depot!
Open to young elves-in-training, each child will embark on a magical adventure across the town centre with their very own sack filled with Santa’s important mail, ready to be sorted and posted in festive post boxes across the centre. Once they’ve completed their merry task, the young helpers will be rewarded with a chance to meet Father Christmas himself, receiving a special gift ready to take home.
Open across three weekends in December from 7th – 8th, 14th – 15th, and 21st – 22nd, the post office will be open for business from 11am – 2pm until all visiting slots are filled and is completely free to take part*.
Making a heartwarming return to Merseyway for its sixth year, The Giving Tree is officially up and has become a beloved part of the Stockport holiday tradition. Located in the undercover mall, shoppers can support less fortunate children by selecting a bespoke tag from the Christmas tree. Each tag represents a gift request from a child in the Stockport community, which shoppers can purchase and return to the centre’s dedicated donation box until December 16th, ensuring each present reaches a local child in time for Christmas morning. `

For those seeking unique and festive treasures, the charming Festive Huts have also returned to Merseyway, creating a magical market atmosphere across the centre. With delightful offerings ranging from handmade gifts to delicious seasonal treats like Yorkshire pudding wraps and German sausages, the huts are a must-visit spot for Christmas shoppers and foodies alike.
The Festive Huts will also be open during late night shopping hours, which are scheduled to take place on 19th, 20th and 23rd December until 7pm.
