National Grief Awareness Week Shines A Light on Bereavement-2nd to 8th December
National Grief Awareness Week is a time dedicated to raising awareness about grief, providing support to those who are grieving, and fostering a better understanding of the grieving process.
Looking after yourself is a key message of One Stockport’s Warm & Well This Winter campaign; if you, or someone you know is grieving, take some time to look at the help available through the Good Grief Trust and National Grief Awareness Week. It can’t take away all the pain, but it may help to know you are not alone and support is available to you.
Organised by the Good Grief Trust, the theme this year is Shine a Light, an opportunity to shine a light on people, places and organisations who can support those who have lost a loved one and help with the grieving process. Their message is clear: “Help us to raise greater awareness of the outstanding bereavement services up and down the country.”
