Stockport County team up with Grit Studios for new mural at Edgeley Park

Stockport County team up with Grit Studios for new mural at Edgeley Park

Stockport County are teaming up with GRIT Studios to produce a new, County-themed mural behind the Together Stand at Edgeley Park.

The exciting new project will see 11 young people aged between 14-17 selected to produce the artwork, which will draw inspiration from the Club’s Latin motto, Animo Et Fide – With Courage and Faith.

The Club and Community Trust will again be partnering with local Art organisation GRIT to oversee the work, which will take place on Tuesday 30th July. Earlier this year, the organisation helped to produce the amazing ‘Scarf My Father Wore’ mural located at the junction of Castle Street and Mercian Way.

This new mural will be spraypainted on the wall near the Family Zone behind the Together Stand, creating a bright new backdrop that also pays homage to the Club’s rich history and traditions.

The Club will soon be reaching out to season ticket holders to provide the opportunity for young people to apply to be a part of this project, and we are excited to reveal the end results in the near future.
