These awards aim to offer a platform to award and recognise the hard work, grit and determination of the women that are the driving force behind various industries and businesses.’
The awards go across all parts of life and Nadia Ali, the lead of Stockport Women and Girls’ Network and CEO of Make a Difference, won the Community Achievement of the Year Award 2024.
Nadia says “All thanks and praise to everyone who, over the years, contributed to making this moment happen. Choosing to work in the voluntary sector is very challenging and time-consuming, but it is also rewarding and humbling. As a woman who has and continues to face challenges due to being British-Asian and a woman I am honoured to receive this award not only for myself but for all the women and girls I have worked with and will continue to work with. I took this award for Team Stockport”
