Opportunities for you – it’s National Apprenticeship Week! 5th – 11th February
It’s National Apprenticeship Week 2024. From Monday 5 to Sunday 11 February – find out how to get involved and download the toolkit at National Apprenticeship Week.
National Apprenticeship Week (NAW) 2024 is the 17th annual celebration of apprenticeships.
The theme for this year’s campaign is skills for Life and brings together everyone passionate about apprenticeships to celebrate the value, benefit and opportunity that they bring.
Skills for life
The theme for National Apprenticeship Week 2024 is “Skills for Life”. We encourage everyone to consider how apprenticeships can help individuals to develop the skills and knowledge required for a rewarding career, and employers to develop a workforce with future ready skills. The National Apprenticeship Week website has more information and a toolkit to help you plan and promote your activities.
As part of the week-long initiative, a host of events are taking place nationwide and locally in Greater Manchester for both apprentices and those looking to start their careers, as well as for businesses.
Among the events taking place in Greater Manchester include Empowering You, Our Future Workforce: National Apprenticeship Week 2024, a panel discussion taking place at Venues @ Cornerstone, 2 Edward Street, Stockport on 8th February. This event will bring together a panel of employers and apprentices and will serve as a platform for sharing success stories, showcasing the achievements of apprenticeships, and promoting the benefits of this valuable form of training.
A full list of events taking place in Greater Manchester to mark National Apprenticeship Week 2024 can be found on the GMCA website, which also features booking details.
Businesses interested in promoting their apprentices and opportunities during National Apprenticeship Week 2024 can download a toolkit from the initiative’s website.
Legal Apprenticeship Opportunities:
Apprenticeships play a key role in career development and the widening of opportunities for all. They are an important part of Government Legal Department’s learning and development offer, as well as the commitment to provide rewarding careers across all professions and career stages.
Throughout the week, GLD will be publishing stories from current apprentices, as they share their experiences of training and working at GLD. These will include legal apprentices, as well as those completing apprenticeships for other professions.
GLD offers a number of apprenticeships for different careers. To find out more about government apprenticeships, please visit Apprenticeships | Civil Service Careers (civil-service-careers.gov.uk).
