Meet Alisa, a true community champion who loves dancing!
Community Champions are often visible members of their community, living alongside those they inspire and help. But thanks to social media communities can be larger than ever before and are no longer built solely on geography, rather they are built by kind and outgoing people sharing their passions.
Alisa founded The Daily Dance Facebook group during a difficult time and has used it to build a community both in Stockport and beyond. Heading out each day Ailsa inspires with videos of her dancing throughout the borough’s towns and villages. Often accompanied by positive messages, Ailsa sets out to beat back the morning blues and motivate those around her.
She also participated in The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant in London on Sunday 5th June, a performance that was televised and watched by millions across the globe.
