No one should feel alone at any time, but Christmas can be a particularly stressful time. Across Stockport there are many organisations ready and willing to help.
The following is a list of Stockport Food and Wellbeing Service Providers over the Christmas holidays:

Chat Health allows children and young people to seek confidential health and relationship advice from their local school nurse. It will be available for those aged 11-19 years old and open to discuss all subjects, such as mental health, healthy eating or sexual health. Once connected, you will receive a message from a local health professional ready to listen and advise within 24 hours.

A children’s breakfast with father Christmas and children’s entertainer on 4 Dec at Bethany Church, Gatley. There will be donkey rides for the children on the Sunday and also open the church for other Christmas activities that will involve families.

They also want to provide you with a safe space to talk through anything happening in your life that could be impacting on your or anyone else’s ability to stay safe. For children and young people under the age of 35 who are experiencing thoughts of suicide. For anyone concerned that a young person could be thinking about suicide

Kooth is an online mental wellbeing community for those aged 11-18. Access free, safe and anonymous support – online advice is available 24/7, with mental health professionals available to talk during the times outlined on the left.

23rd Dec – family Christmas party (each family will be given a food pack for Christmas day dinner)
29th Dec family panto trip and photography workshop (family will get snacks and activity pack) and 30th Dec famliy photo workshop (family given pizza making kits)
4th Jan – family arts & craft and multi sports session (family food pack for evening meal)

We hope to provide 3000 christmas dinners (as ingredient bags), 600 of these are confirmed the rest are dependent on funding. Face to Face holiday clubs from 3rd Jan for ages 7-16 dependent on HAF.

The Wellspring will be open every day, the week of the 27th we will be working on reduced hours of 8am till 2pm.
We will continue to provide hot meals these are served 8.30 am till 10am and dinner 12.30 till 1.30pm except for Christmas day, the dinners will be served 12 till 1.30pm
We will also be providing a delivery of Christmas dinners – these will have to be pre-ordered by a professional or people can call the wellspring and book themselves in. These meals will be delivered Christmas eve dependant on what volunteers are supporting.
