A new community hub for the Heatons

A new community hub for the Heatons

From Wednesday 5th May, the Heatons Post Hub will open be open from 9am to 3pm every Monday to Friday.

The founders of the Heatons Post, launched in February 2020, are set to open a community hub that would act both as a base for Heatons Post and a space to further connect the Heatons & Reddish community.
Amanda Fourie and Melanie Page were offered the opportunity to take on one of the lovely units on Tatton Road South, alongside the railway line, which will open to the public on Wednesday, 5 May for six weeks, adhering to Covid safety guidelines.
The aim of the Heatons Post Hub is to provide:
  • a venue for members of the Heatons & Reddish community to pop along, collect a copy of the newspaper each month and discuss article ideas with us
  • a central place for local residents and visitors to the area to find information regarding community groups, community initiatives and local events
  • a venue where representatives from all sectors of the community can hold ‘drop in’ sessions to allow residents the opportunity to talk to them and receive information
  • a venue where small businesses who do not operate from premises can display products which will be sold through the hub, helping to support them and gain exposure for their business
  • a place where anyone who would just like a chat can call in and say hello
From Wednesday 5th May, the Heatons Post Hub will open be open from 9am to 3pm every Monday to Friday.
Mel and Amanda are preparing to launch their latest venture, the Cheadle Post, in July this summer.
