Readeasy.org.uk provides free, confidential, one-to-one reading coaching from trained volunteers for anyone who struggles with reading, through a network of volunteer groups.

A Read Easy Stockport group has recently been established and we’re now looking for a volunteer to become our co-ordinator.

The management team for a Stockport Read Easy group is now established and they have a number of people on the waiting list to train as reading coaches. Before they can progress with their work, the group needs to appoint a volunteer coordinator to work with the management team.

Stockport Read Easy group is looking for someone who:

  • is passionate about making a difference in their community
  • would like to use their skills to support the group and gain new skills along the way
  • has a couple of hours a week to spend supporting a great cause!

Becoming a volunteer co-ordinator for Read Easy is fun and fulfilling but requires commitment and passion. You’ll be given lots of support and full training, meet a diverse range of people, and be part of a genuinely life-changing organisation. The coordinator role is often described as “the best role in Read Easy”, because it is so rewarding.

Is this you? If so, please get in touch to find out more about the role of co-ordinator.

We would love to hear from you if you like the sound of what we do and you think you would like to be involved. Please contact Marie Joyce, Pioneer for Stockport, at stockportpioneer@readeasy.org.uk  or on 07957 516443 to find out more.

Read Easy is following all current guidelines with regards to Covid-19 safety and is committed to supporting our volunteers using online platforms and digital resources, where this is feasible.

Please see readeasy.org.uk for more information about the charity.
