Free meals for those in need at Ate Days A Week.
"If we can help just 1 family have an easier life or a better day then we’ve done everything we set out to do."
Ate Days A Week, one of Stockport’s newest eateries on Vernon Street in the centre of the town, is offering free meals for kids courtesy of their generous customers.
Writing on his Facebook page, owner and chef Andy James said:
“I couldn’t think of a song to sum up the whole situation we currently find ourselves in but in all honesty, this isn’t about us. It’s about the people who are currently in a treacherous position where the need to feed their families isn’t possible.
“We have some “pay it forward” tickets available at the door that have been kindly donated by some amazing people over the last few days.
“If you’re struggling just pick one up and come and see us at the counter, no questions asked or judgement will be passed.
“With the free kids meals there is the choice of Sausage, chips and gravy or Grilled cheese and chips and a fruit shoot.
“We are running this throughout half-term, all day Monday to Friday.
“Thank you again to the wonderful people who have donated, shared, reposted the original Facebook post. If we can help just 1 family have an easier life or a better day then we’ve done everything we set out to do.”
